This workshop is intended to emphasize the expansion of your vision - both creatively and technically. Learn how to create inspiring images of urban landscapes, architecture, and nature.
Not only will you learn techniques and tips to improve your images, but also receive advice on digital post processing. Workshop topics will cover the aesthetics of the art of photography as they relate to composition and design elements, through use of tone, colour, shape, balance and lines. We will also cover technical skills, such as exposure, aperture, shutter speed, metering, lens selection, filters, perspective and navigating the camera controls. Lectures on post production techniques will include digital workflow, RAW processing, image adjustments and image potential. By creatively processing RAW files and enhancing images using Adobe Photoshop, you will be shown how to maximize your photo's impact.
There will be group and individual instruction during the weekend field trips as well as challenging and creative assignments which will be critiqued during the classroom sessions. You'll be at the best locations at the right time of day to stimulate your creativity. You'll also be at some locations where the lighting conditions are less than favourable.
